About
Kasane
means to layer.
Kasane comes from the Japanese word for layering. It reflects how different flavours and ingredients come together in our drinks, alongside the layered stamp prints that shape the café’s visual identity.
重ね
Kasane means to layer or overlap. We chose the name because it connects the way our drinks are made with the overlapping impressions found across the packaging, menus and space.
The stamp set
Six illustrated stamps are used throughout KASANE, from cups and packaging to menus and signage. Each one is printed with a slightly different texture, so the impressions are never exactly the same.
